Nabbing Thaksin 'no easy task'
Thailand never ratified int'l corruption treaty

Efforts by Thai authorities to bring former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and his wife Khunying Potjaman to justice remain a pipe dream as Thailand has signed but not ratified an international treaty against corruption, according to public prosecutors.
After realising the difficulties of getting the couple back from the United Kingdom by extradition, authorities are now studying alternatives including using an international corruption treaty.
Sirisak Tiyapan, the executive director of the Office of the Attorney-General's International Affairs, said Thailand had signed the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC) in 2006, but had delayed ratification of the treaty, which has made it impossible to enforce.
Had Thailand ratified the treaty, there would have been no need to seek extradition of the couple to stand trial in Thailand, he said. Under the terms of the convention, Thai authorities would have been technically able to have Mr Thaksin and his wife stand trial in a neutral country without having to seek their extradition, Mr Sirisak said. UNCAC's key areas cover corruption prevention, criminalisation and law enforcement, international cooperation and asset retrieval.
Mr Sirisak said Thailand had delayed ratification of the treaty because a review of several related laws, including the anti-money laundering law and the Criminal Code, has not been completed.
''I understand the review of legal issues related to the convention is under the responsibility of the Foreign Ministry and the Justice Ministry,'' he said.
Assoc Prof Prasit Piwawattanapanich, a law lecturer at Thammasat University, agreed there is little hope of bringing the couple back to Thailand.
The couple were indicted on corruption charges involving Khunying Potjaman's purchase of government land at deflated prices while Mr Thaksin was the prime minister. They have skipped bail and fled to London.
Mr Thaksin accused his political opponents of meddling in the judicial system and claimed his life was in danger.
Assoc Prof Prasit noted their escape to England had been calculated, saying the extradition process cannot proceed until the Supreme Court passes a ruling.
''As long as they are not found guilty, they remain only accused and there is nothing authorities can do about the couple. Mr Thaksin can wait until a verdict is handed down before he starts seeking political asylum,'' he said.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court's Criminal Section for Holders of Political Positions yesterday rejected a request by the couple's lawyers to withdraw the case or have the Ratchadapisek land case suspended.
The couple's lawyers, led by Khamnuan Chalopatham, asked the court to withdraw the charges on the grounds that their clients did not require their services. They also asked the court to drop the case on the grounds that the defendants had fled overseas and were not considered to be still under the court's jurisdiction.
The court spent an hour considering the request and dismissed it, saying the request was a tactic to have the trial suspended. The court said the defendants abandoned their rights to fight the charges when they skipped bail. It also ordered the lawyers to continue representing the couple and presenting defence witnesses to the court.
Wichit Chuenban, a legal adviser for Mr Thaksin, said he suspected certain members of the Council for National Security (CNS), which was made up of key leaders of the coup that toppled Mr Thaksin, had vested interests in the decision of the Assets Scrutiny Committee's decision to seize 76 billion baht in assets from Mr Thaksin.
He said the ASC's decision to seize the assets could have been ''prescribed'' by the CNS, noting that the ASC's regulations states that anyone who gives tips about ill-gotten assets will receive a reward worth 25% of the seized assets.
My aspect about Thaksin news.About this case I think this law is not fair because this case about politician’ criminal is different than general criminal. Politician criminal is use section same general but it have some section is special legislate for judgement politician. About this law, why this law is not fair because when the courts are judging a case, they can judge without defendant and defender can’t appeal this case (it clash with the main of justice in Thailand). So about Thanksin case I think this decision is fair because the deal about Rart-cha-da place is illegal. He should to get punishment. But the judge should to give advantage to him for more litigation because all of people have justice right for prove them self about they are not guilty.

Mother day

Mother Day.

Today is one of special day. The government set this day of rest; many company about private and government service are close. Many people want to came home because they want to meet them’ mother. Some of people buy garland of give they mom. Today is call “Mother Day”
Mother's Day is a day honoring mothers, celebrated on various days in many places around the world. It complements Father's Day, the celebration honoring fathers. About history many country are Different countries celebrate Mother's Day on various days of the year because the day has a number of different origins. One school of thought claims this day emerged from a custom of mother worship in ancient Greece, which kept a festival to Cybele, a great mother of Greek gods. This festival was held around the Vernal Equinox around Asia Minor and eventually in Rome itself from the Ides of March (15 March) to 18 March. The ancient Romans also had another holiday, Matronalia, that was dedicated to Juno, though mothers were usually given gifts on this day.In addition to Mother's Day, International Women's Day is celebrated in many countries, most often on March 8.
About my home is too. To day I not have class, my university was close. I woke up about 7.00 a.m. After I offer food to monk, I came to clean my house. Today my mom was come home and she like cleanness so much. I start to work since outside house, second floor. I use about 1 – 3 hour to finish this work, it was tried. Then I came to take a shower, so I want to buy some thing for my mom. I come out about 10.00 a.m., I coming to Sa-Pan-Put. At Sa-Pan-Put is one of place is popular about flowers. I reach this here at 1.00 p.m. Sooner I get one garland. About the garland most of people will give for they mom for show about thank, sorry and look up to mom.
I come back home at 4.00 p.m., my mom was come. Today we will have dinner outside home, sooner we will go. We have dinner at Reane-Rod restaurant. This restaurant locates at near lake in Som-Ma-Kon village. Sooner we have food was full on table. We not only eat but we use this time to take about family, for example plan in future, funny story and other. We come back home at 9.00 p.m. After my mom want to bad, I come to give garland. When she sees it, she was beam and chuckle. She embosoms and said that “thank you”, so I feel very happy. Before I come to bed, I come to embosom my mom again and said thank you too. To night I sleep with big smile.

Trang

Summer at Trang
Past 3

Today I woke up same other day, in that here. This is 6 day is I abide at Trang, so I never went to real travel but today is free day for me and my friend. Before the day was come, we move to the house in forest to the house in city (my friend have one house in city) because we should arrange some item to use went we travel and plan about what we want to travel. This trip on have only me and my friend but his young brother was go with to. We woke up at 6.00 a.m. for check luggage again and check about guide too. We use 2 hour for went to meeting point. During we want, we take break for have breakfast. This is first time is I ate Trang’ breakfast. The breakfast in Trang wasn’t same Bangkok. They will ate Tim-sum and bun and last one is popular food is Mu-Yang (Grill pork), it to delicious.
Sooner we came to meeting point. We should meet guide for travel. About the price to use to travel is too cheap because his young brother is associates with daughter’ guide. After that we follow the guide to port for wait other tourist. After 30 minute we was go. First point was we go is call “Koh-Ma-nee”. This place is most popular in Trang. After we come to this place, we must pass the cave by swim. First I was scare because I can’t swim but when I go into sea I feel excited. The sea in Trang was beautiful, too clear and clean, have many fish and the temperature just right. We pull away and swim until we came. Suddenly I came I can remember this place because this place was use to many movie but it to differ, it to beautiful than I saw on TV. We have 1 hour to see on this place, so I use much time for take photo.
Next point we came to “Koh-Ka-Dan”. This here is one of popular too because most of foreigner like to came for rest on this place and this place ever to welcome Miss Thailand Universe too. We have lunch on this place. After I take photo, I siesta under big tree. It’s too happy.
Next we Come to “Kah-Cherak” (Kah-rob) the name is from past that most of fisherman was come to rest on this place, so if they come here, they will use rod for stop them boat. In this place we were swim to see coral by snorkel. It’s too beautiful but after we up to boat I feel itch too much. I don’t know why, maybe from coral or fish.
And last point is “Kah-Muk”. This place is only place can see sea anemone, it was violet color and have something like whisker on top of it. In this place we were break on this here, I was eating the cake, and it was famous of Trang.
Then we use 3 hour to go back to house in city. When we come, I sudden went to sleep. I was tried. But before I sleep I feel something, one side it too happy but one side I feel regret because tomorrow I must go back to Bangkok. Sooner I was sleep by involuntary.

Summer at Trang
Past 2

“Hey Mean!! Wake up” he arouse me. The sky was dark and I was sleepy. Its 1.00 a.m. this time for work but what work, I was confused. “Change your custom now, we must hurry to work” my friend told me. I use time for routine around 30 minute but I still confuse about work. “What work” I asked my friend again but he doesn’t answers. Sooner we are ready to work, about custom compose with dark coat, dark jeans, boots and flashlight (it’s fit on head). We take a weapon too (scythe and gun). Than we go out by motorcycle. Now I was know that what work is.
The work is patrol his rubber plant ‘garden. My friend told me that we must work on night because about rubber plant can crop only night, it like cold. And thief likes to steal on night too, so this is reason that why we must have weapon. During we work we have body guard too. My friend’ dog is following us too. Rubber plant ‘garden on night was dangerous because it’s locate is on mountain and it’s to dark. Sooner we were reaching to first point. In this here have 2 workers, they doing work. About work is keep latex. When they want to keep it, they will use billhook and cut only face. Sooner latex is flow into cup (for keep latex). Than they we wait latex to be full. It look like to easy but they must work about 50 – 100 trees. They are use to much time to finish this work (until morning). We stay on this point around 30 minute – 1 hour and move on next point, so we use about 15 – 30 minute to reach next point. In garden at night look like dangerous but it to beautiful too. I can see something is in the city doesn’t have. One of thing is firefly; it looks like the star on sky. And last point we went at top of mountain, this is first time for me to saw the sea of cloud. Sooner the sun was come. First I think that we are finish to work but isn’t. When we get latex, we must process it to be rubber tree. At last the work was finish at 9.30 a.m., so I went to sleep again. “It was tried day” I think that before I sleep.

Summer at Trang
Past 1

Songkrang is one of popular festival in Thailand. Most of people have fun with water on this day except me. On this day is my first travel day on my life (go alone) so I very afraid but in deep I feel exciting too. At first my mother thinks that I will go north but I lie. In fact I will go south but on this time at south have problem (about terrorize).
I woke up since the sky was dawn. I can’t sleep at night. After I finish to routine and do home work I want out for buy item for travel. Than I hurry for pack it. I start to go at 16.00 p.m. At Hua-ram-pong (train station) it has many people because this day is Songkran’day and most of people want to back home. First I went to have dinner and pack some food for eat at night. Than I kill the time by rest (sleep). The train was come at 17.30 p.m. I hurry to find the station (to go south), I use most of time for find it because it is my first time to travel. On train it so little busy, most of people were find a seat and blank for keep packet. I’m too. On train I get a new friend. She is so kind and funny, she go Trang too. Oh I forget it, she was 70 year old (I thing). I talk with her about Trang until the sky was dark and the time for sleep was come. At night I can’t sleep but it not same reason. I can’t sleep because it was very cold and it too light (on train is not turn off the light). I work up at 5.30 a.m. It was too sleepy. “2 hour will reach” I think. Sooner on train was come to busy again, most of people were routine. After I finish, I check about my packet again before the train was reach. Now my feeling was confuse, I was afraid but I feel exciting too. Sooner I train was reach, I hurry to went out. Sudden I walk out the train, I saw my friend. He smile and said “Hey welcome to Trang”. Trang is one of popular province in Thailand because the sea at Trang is very beautiful. First we come to have breakfast. About breakfast isn’t same Bangkok, it look like dim-sum (look like Chinese’ appetizer). We ate so much because I don’t have breakfast since I reach. After that we come to my friend’ abode, it locate deep in mountain. In abode not have somebody. I keep my pack and routine. Sooner The sky was dark, It mean it time for sleep. But my friend told me that we should fast to sleep because at night we must work. “Work!!” I ask. “What work”. But he not answers so I not care. I’m so tried. Sooner I was sleep and I think about work at night.

ROTC Camp.

Last day but not last friendship.

Because of this is last post on this semester, so I abridge about my camp’ story. I will start at the last day at Karw-Chon-Kai Mountain.

Today I woke up at 3.30 a.m. It too dawn but we must do because yesterday we was woke up late and army’ trainer was very angry, so we was punish by him. It was much tried.
Sooner my friends were waked up. “Hurry up” Nas command. Nes he is a leader of batch and he is leader of company of soldiers too. He was funny and friendly but sometime I think that his character was amiss of leader. I hurry to keep my bags and check other item, I should keep. “Hi Mean it was have something wrong last night?” Mai ask me. Mai he came from Chreng-Mai. He was radio-army same me. Last night it was vary busy for radio-army because army’ trainer want to test us about us’ sense but I not do that because I was very sleep, so I offer to be duty at midnight.
“Nothing” I ask as sleepy. Then my entire friend in batch was wake up. Tom he is my close friend. We introduce since the first day in Karw-Chon-Kai Mountain. Pom & Ya they came from Chreng-Mai too. They are chef base my batch. And other but I forgot them’ name.

After that we move to center of barrack. Today we will come back battalion after we live in the forest at 2 day and to day is last day for train at here. We will come back home, so most of cadet was very happy. We wait about 30 minute until army’ trainer was wake up.
We use 1 hour to move to battalion. At battalion it a little hectic, I think that it was last day for live in here. After that we get back to some item, we borrow form army’ trainer. And army’ trainer sum up about all of trainer in this here and then it have some of friend deliver a speech, some people is funny to take but some of them is best to take. When ceremony was finish this time was come. This is time for say good bye. Many cadets were bargain to write information for contract. Some of people will take a photo it was funny time. But it to little. The bus was come for get back. This is good bye not have a tears but it have only smile. “Hey Mean I hope I will meet you on next years.” Tom told me. “Sure” I sudden to answers. Before I go to bus I look back to battalion and smile. “Hurry up Mean” my friend on bus told me. Goodbye Karw-Chon-Kai I will come back I thing and look back to Karw-Chon-Kai before the bus was go out.

ROTC Camp.

Seven day on (hell) Karw-Chon-Kai Mountain.
Past 2

This Day was start at 4. 30 a.m. It was very sleepy. After we exercise, we have 3 minute to do routine (it was very fast). Today White-Shark was go down to water first. After we have breakfast, we use 1 hour to go to base.
At base was having high tower and have wire in to lagoon. When we sudden come, we was punish by army’ trainer (crawl, couch, push-up). Than army’ trainer was explain about this base and how to train this base and show about how to train (one army go down from tower by rope).
After that we must train this base. First I was very die laughing when I watch other cadet, some people were good to train but some of people were bad. Sooner my turn was come (After I go down and up many is the time because my rope is wrong bend and I must go down to amend bend) I feel afraid because it high and I think that I can’t do it but when my foot was pass from tower I feel excited. It was not too hard but not to easy too because when I go down from tower, it hard to control speed. When we finish, we come back to battalion for have lunch.

It the afternoon we was train “Quickly to pass river”. It start same morning, army’ trainer was explain about this base and how to train this base and show about how to train. When about explain was finish army’ trainer ask us that who can’t swim. First I think that I shouldn’t train because I can’t swim but I don’t know this time why I decide to play. I ask to army’ trainer and beg that I want to play. First he not agree but than change his answer but he told me that if I want to play I must go to train first (Oh my god!!).
After I change my costume for train this base I hurry go up to tower (now I was very shy and afraid). When one of army is exemplifying, my turn was come. Army’ trainer in tower teach my again about how to train again because they afraid that it have problem to me. I catch the rail and amass my boldness before I move rail to out of tower. Now I feel look like I’m fly, I like that feel until army’ trainer show flag signal for drop into lagoon. In the water I very afraid, I try to move but I feel dip into. Then I feel that it has some body catch me and move up from water. “Are you ok?” they ask me, I smile and nod. After they sent me at brink of lagoon, I move to next training.
At this base I must pass the river by buoyancy (It makes from army’ packet) with buddy. After my buddy was come, we come to train. About this training one of my hand must apprehend with buoyancy and other hand must catch rope for move. This base is not be afraid than first training. After I finish training I change my costume and desiccate my underclothes until the last cadet was finish this training. Then we come to battalion again for dinner and stand by for train next base.
It the evening we was train “Patrol in the night” First I think that this base was heavy than other training but it was not heavy as I think. First we come to this base by walk, we use half past one to come that base. In this base army’ trainer teaches us about how to train and told us about way back into battalion. This base was each by one category. During us back to battalion, I use this time to make to befriend other cadet in my category.
We come to battalion at 9.00 p.m. In battalion we listen about next plan in tomorrow before we go to tent. Today I must wake up to be on duty at 1.00 a.m. – 3.00 a.m. with my buddy (it was bad news). In tent I use a little time to befriend with my buddy before I sleep and before I sleep I think about tomorrow and think about this day.

ROTC Camp

Seven day on (hell) Karw-Chon-Kai Mountain.
Past 1

Sooner this day was come. This day is I not like so much. Today I must went to ROTC camp at Karw-Chon-Kai Mountain. All of student who studies about cadet must be pass fieldwork and about this work is training at Karw-Chon-Kai Mountain.
Today I woke up at 4.30 a.m. (I can’t sleep because I very agog and worry too). After I do routine, I come to check me bags again before I go. I went to meeting point at 5.40 a.m. After I say bye my mom I hurry to came at meeting point but I feel that I forgot some thing. At meeting point was very seethe. Sooner I was thing that what I forgot. I forgot my hat. I hurry come to shop for buy hat. During I buy merchant ask me about what my class level and told me that what I should buy for use that camp and last he told me that about my level I very heavy (it make me afraid).
Than I come to meeting point for wait to go. During I wait I try to find my friends but I so hard because in this here have many cadet to go too. Sooner (Before a little time to come) my friends were come. We greet and huddle because we not want to lose.

The bus start at 6.00 a.m. We sit at middle of the bus. During we went, most of cadet in bus was sleep. We arrive at 10.00 a.m. First we come to history’ park. I this here we study about history of Thai war. I this here is very bored. Then we went to next meeting point.
We use a little time to come. Before we go to camp, we must worship monument of king of Thailand. I this here is a first test for them because we must stand with very hot light form the sun about 1 hour, most of people black out. After that we continue to go.
Sooner we arrive to camp. Sudden we out of bus we must lay down to the ground and roll on hot ground. Then we stand, we must run to the camp but soon we must do it again (lie on the ground and roll) we continue to do it until we arrive (much tried). In Karw-Chon-Kai Mountain on midday is very hot. Maybe look like desert. Not have tree and have only dust form sand.
After that we come to have lunch. I have lunch with pot is army use on alfresco, it very hot. We have 5 minute for have lunch before assemble. During we come to assemble I apart form my friends, so I stay alone with other cadet. We must find buddy for sleep in one tent and my buddy is from south Thailand, he name Tom. First time I very afraid him because his face was not friendship. And all of cadet must apart for set company. (I stay at company of 3, it name “white shark”).
At evening we study medicine in the war. It very bored. Most of cadets were sleep. To night we go to tent at 10.00 p.m. We must sleep on the ground, not have underlay, not have blanket, not have comfortable. We can’t take a bath and brush the teeth. And I must sleep with somebody is I don’t know. I hate this here and today is a very bad day. “I want go home” I grouch before I sleep.

New year Festival.

Happy (lonely) New Year.

Happy New Year festival is most popular. Many countries are celebrating and enjoy to party. And some of people use this day for change in themselves’ character. Some people use this day for benediction good thing. But some of people thing that this day is ordinary day.
Of course me too. This year is same other year. I stay alone at my home same other year. I woke up at morning since the sky was dawn. I knew this day was last day of year but I not feel happy. After I do routine and do everything finish. I use a little time for arrange food for give food offerings to a Buddhist monk. After that I don’t knew to how I should do on this day. My friends were gone to travel. My families have work and I not have girl friend for go with. It is bore day. After I kill a lot of my time for do something is nonsense. For example watch TV. , play PC games or try to sleep. I decide that I want to do some thing is differ of my routine. I choose to meander at The Mall.
At The Mall it was bustle. IT has many of people in this here. Some of them go with family. Some of them go with friends and some of them go with girl friend too. It has a little group is go alone same me. It makes me to bad feeling. I use a lot of time to read book at book shop and walk as not goal. Until I feel that the sky is come to dark, I decide to go home.
At home my family was come too. After I have finish dinner during go to bed, my family decides to go out. My mum wants to go for walk. First I chuck out but she ask (and use beat in to too). Before we go, we think that what we want to go. After we use thinking we decide to go at lat-ca-dam-nane road (near Wat-pa-kawe).
First we come to monument of past king at Government House. We come to benediction and take a photo in that here. Then we go around of lat-ca-dam-nane road. On that road is adorned with electric light. IT is very beautiful. At last we stay at Pa-lam-nine Bridge until the time is come. Many of fireworks is come to sky. IT was very beautiful. After that we decide to come home because we were sleepy.
Before I went to bed I check message on my phone. My friends were sent happy New Year message to me. I smile and think that this year is not same other year. Though I was stay alone but I not feel lonely. And last I was benediction and smile before sleep.
